The Role:
Governance, Reporting & Oversight Team Lead is an experienced role with responsibility for leading and managing the Governance, Reporting & Oversight team within the Life FCCO function.
Main Responsibilities:
* Management responsibilities:
o Lead and manage the Governance, Reporting and Oversight team, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
o Provide regular updates and reports to the Head of Financial Crime on team activities, key initiatives, and emerging risks or trends.
o Build collaborative relationships with 1LoD stakeholders as well as 2LoD financial crime teams to enhance risk management and compliance culture.
o Act as a point of escalation for TPA financial crime related issues.
o Act as FC lead on TPA relationships, deriving adherence to the service set out in the contract.
o Oversee the FC TPA change agenda and act as senior escalation point to unblock material issues.
o Work closely with Supplier management relationships leads to drive the FC agenda as a priority with TPAs.
* Operational activities:
o Oversee the implementation of Group-wide financial crime policies and standards within the business, ensuring consistent application and interpretation.
o Implement and execute the BU governance structure in line with the M&G Group financial crime Governance and MI Framework.
o Review and approve MI requirements defined by the team, ensuring alignment to the M&G Group financial crime Governance and Management Information Framework, regulatory expectations and business needs.
o Review and report 1LoD financial crime MI across the Life business.
o Oversee 1LoD financial crime reporting within the Life business to ensure it is fit for purpose and relevant for applicable financial crime governance fora and committees, including board level reporting.
o Represent the BU at relevant financial crime, including TPA, fora.
o Provide support to the TPA FC Oversight Specialist and act as a delegate to attend required TPA FC governance meetings.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Significant experience of leading and managing financial crime teams.
* Significant experience within financial crime, including knowledge and understanding of financial crime laws and regulations in the context of the Life business.
* Significant experience overseeing financial crime change management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey complex information to stakeholders at all level.
