Quality Assurance Manager (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX lawyer)
Are you a qualified solicitor, chartered legal executive, barrister (or equivalent)? Do you also have significant experience of complex case analysis and a practical understanding of the principles of Quality Assurance (QA)?
The QA team includes both legally qualified and lay QA Managers. We are seeking multiple legally qualified QA Managers to join our growing team in Birmingham, Cardiff or London (hybrid).

The role
The team is at the forefront of driving up standards, providing confidence to our key stakeholders in our regulatory activities.
This is an exciting time to join as we are have been working on measuring the success of a large-scale Continuous Improvement Programme that is taking place within our Investigation and Enforcement Directorate. We are also broadening our assurance activities with opportunities to work with other departments across the organisation.
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will own, drive and optimise quality assurance in a consistent way across the organisation.
You will be accountable for conducting case reviews, analysing results, and providing feedback to the organisation on identified trends and themes, ensuring delivery of the SRA's overall strategic objectives. You will work as a part of a team that is designed to improve consistency and efficiency.
You will engage with senior stakeholders to build an understanding of requirements to build into the design and delivery of quality assurance activities. You will lead on identifying areas of efficiency and improvement including developing recommendations for operational teams.
In addition, there are opportunities to undertake thematic work and provide consultancy services to other areas across the organisation to support with the development of QA frameworks.
You will need strong analytical, judgment and communication skills.

Useful and additional information
This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week.
This is a hybrid role and the post-holder will work one to two days in the office with the rest of the week spent working at home. The roles are based either in our Birmingham, Cardiff or London office. If you are based in Cardiff or London, occasional travel will be required to Birmingham for team meetings or attendance at events.
The salary offer for this role is £43,427 for Birmingham and Cardiff based and £47,769 for London based.

Essential
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
Solicitor, legal executive, barrister or equivalent legal qualification with an entitlement to practise in England and Wales
Practical experience of complex case analysis in the legal or regulatory environment
