Job Description
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager or Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day running of a multi-faceted high-end Leisure Centre in Highgate!
The facilities include a gym, swimming pool, sports hall, studios, and sports pitches. The client is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in the leisure industry, as this is a busy and influential role within the business.
Main Responsibilities:
1. In liaison with the General Manager, be responsible for developing and implementing operational standards on site.
2. Manage the daily operation of the Centre, following all operational standards and Health & Safety procedures.
3. Plan and implement an effective operational strategy with the General Manager to ensure efficient service within budget and resources.
4. Liaise with the General Manager/maintenance team on building maintenance.
5. Assist management in organizing events, camps, and courses to raise the Centre's profile and income.
6. Develop new business strategies to maximize the building's potential.
Candidate Requirements:
1. National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or ability to obtain it within 3 months.
2. Pool Plant Operator qualification or ability to obtain it within 3 months.
3. First Aid Qualification or ability to obtain it within 3 months.
4. Good organizational and administrative skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Flexibility to work shifts across 7 days, with early shifts starting at 6am and late shifts ending at 10pm.
