The Convenience Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing personnel, and maintaining accurate business records. This position requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to respond to business needs as they arise.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
* Manage daily store operations including cash handling, deposits, reports, and payroll.
* Supervise, train, and schedule employees.
* Provide outstanding customer service by responding promptly to customer needs and concerns.
* Maintain accurate inventory levels, vendor relations, and store records.
* Operate food preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
* Market merchandise and assist with promotional activities.
* Ensure store cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety standards.
* Promote teamwork, communication, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises all store employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Previous retail, convenience store, or management experience preferred.
* Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
* Basic accounting and computer proficiency required.
* Must be available 24 hours a day for operational needs, including weekends, holidays, and emergency situations.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond promptly to store or personnel issues as they arise.
