Are you an experienced and skilled Behaviour Support Worker with a proven track record of managing and mentoring secondary-aged pupils (KS3/KS4)? We are urgently seeking a dedicated specialist to join our partner schools in Blackpool starting in January 2026.

The Role: Impacting Pupil Behaviour and Wellbeing
As a Behaviour Support Worker in a secondary school, your focus will be on targeted intervention, crisis management, and promoting positive behaviour across the school day. Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing one-to-one and small group intervention to vulnerable students or those at risk of exclusion.
2. Implementing and rigorously tracking individual Behaviour Support Plans and strategies.
3. De-escalating challenging situations in the classroom and around the school site.
4. Supporting the Inclusion Unit or Pastoral Team with administrative and practical duties.
5. Working exclusively with students in the secondary phase (ages 11-16+).
What We Look for in a Candidate
We are seeking individuals with specific experience in youth engagement and effective behaviour support techniques. Successful applicants will ideally have:
6. Essential: Significant prior experience as a Behaviour Support Worker or similar role in a Secondary School or Pupil Referral Unit (PRU).
7. Expert knowledge and practical experience in implementing strategies for challenging behaviour.
8. A calm, resilient, and professional approach to crisis intervention and student mentorship.
9. Excellent communication skills for liaising with the SENCO, Pastoral Team, and families.
10. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
