Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across the PO postcode, supporting them with day-to-day and short-term cover requirements. Schools are seeking adaptable, reliable, and enthusiastic educators to provide classroom cover during periods of staff absence across a variety of subjects.
These schools are located within diverse communities across the local area and offer supportive and inclusive learning environments where students are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally. Teaching Personnel are recruiting general cover teachers and cover supervisors to work on an ad-hoc basis across these schools. This role is well suited to Early Career Teachers, experienced teachers seeking flexible work, or educators looking to maintain classroom practice while reducing workload.
As a general cover teacher, you will be responsible for supervising pre-prepared lessons, maintaining a calm and purposeful learning environment, and ensuring students remain engaged with their work. You will be expected to follow each school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies, collect completed work, and provide feedback where required.
Those working with Teaching Personnel benefit from a flexible working schedule, with both pre-booked and short-notice opportunities available across multiple schools. You will receive weekly PAYE pay every Friday, alongside ongoing support from a dedicated personal consultant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
