3-month placement Inside IR35
Hybrid - 4 days on site
We are seeking an experienced electro-mechanical engineer for a 3-month contractor placement inside IR35.
The role involves assembly and testing of intricate hardware, working closely with the flight team to ensure systems are designed and built for successful testing. A background in aerospace or space engineering is required.
Responsibilities include:
* Assembly procedures and aerospace hardware assembly, providing design input for accurate production.
* Selection of integration materials such as adhesives.
* Developing operational procedures for assembly activities.
* Mechanical assembly and integration, ensuring standards are met and procedures followed.
* Collaborating with electrical engineers to assemble flight electronics (training provided).
* Testing procedures and space hardware testing, including producing test plans and performing in-vacuum performance tests on propulsion systems.
* Performing inspections and quality checks on flight parts and components.
* Environmental testing campaigns on flight hardware.
* Acceptance testing of newly built products.
