Our Sustainability team specializes in helping client organizations measure, manage, and reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, achieving wider sustainability goals. Our services include:
* Delivery of city/regional carbon reduction programs;
* Development of carbon management strategies, including Net Zero strategies;
* Carbon footprint and greenhouse gas reporting, and ESG disclosures;
* Identification of energy-saving opportunities and investment support;
* Green building certification assurance for real estate projects;
* Estates decarbonization and heat decarbonization plans;
* Net Zero program management and delivery.
Our specialist Cities & Workplaces team is growing due to rising demand from private and public sector organizations. We seek individuals experienced in building certification and/or real estate decarbonization to strengthen our resources.
Job Description
We are seeking individuals with experience and knowledge in Heat Network (HN) and wider Distributed Energy (DE) projects or programs. By Distributed Energy, we refer to low to zero carbon heat and power networks, systems, and resources, including but not limited to heat networks, solar PV, heat pumps, energy storage, demand-side flexibility, and smart vehicle-to-grid charging.
The ideal candidate will have experience in project development (scoping, business case, finance, high-level technical consultancy) for schemes involving heat networks, local energy networks, smart grids, battery storage, and integration with electric vehicle charging and home energy storage.
Qualifications
We seek experienced professionals bringing expertise in HN and DE across various projects. Candidates should possess some or all of the following competencies:
* High-quality service delivery and client management
* Consultancy experience within DE and HN projects
* Successful track record in facilitating and delivering DE schemes, meeting KPIs
* Experience overcoming barriers in DE projects through feasibility, commercialization, procurement, and delivery stages
* Knowledge of DE solutions covering multiple technologies
* Excellent customer relationship skills
* Understanding of metering, billing regulations, and government policies related to HN
* Programme management and organizational skills
* Knowledge of energy demands in buildings and relevant regulations such as CP1 and Part L of Building Regulations
Preferred competencies include:
* Business development experience
* Stakeholder engagement
* Energy strategy development and master planning for DE
* Data analysis skills related to DE
