Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives through Positive Behaviour Support? Do you have a human approach and hold a strong value base? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in improving the quality of life of the individuals we support by implementing proactive, person-centred behavioural strategies and interventions across our supported living services.

What you will be doing
* Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop robust PBS plans which are innovative and align with the organisation’s values
* Train and support staff teams in the implementation of PBS strategies and theory
* Teach relevant modules to existing and new employees
* Develop and deliver workshops for all employees ensuring learning and development is continuous
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support plans through data analysis and outcome measures
* Ensure we are working in a way that reduces restrictive practices and meets CQC and organisational requirements
* Work closely with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent, high-quality support which meets the needs of the people we support
* Promote a culture of person-centred, proactive support and continuous learning
* Facilitate team meetings and debriefs alongside the leadership team
About you
* Have interpersonal, and instructional skills that enable you to effectively facilitate learning and improve performance
* Really want to make a difference to people lives
* Have experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge
* Have experience in leadership where you have motivated and inspired teams
* Have a strong knowledge of behavioural theory and practical application in community settings
* Be able to think creatively and take positive risk
* Be able to adapt systems and processes to make them work for the people we support
* Have excellent communication, coaching, and report writing skills
* Hold a collaborative approach with a strong commitment to values-based practice
* Be able to build good relationships and communicate effectively
* Be trustworthy, honest and reliable
* Be able to reflect on your practise
* Have great organisational and IT skills
* Be able to travel within the UK if required
What you will need
* A recognised qualification in PBS (e.g. BTEC Level 5, MSc in ABA/PBS, or working towards)
* Be qualified or willing and able to work towards Instructor Level of physical intervention and crisis management
* 3 years’ experience of implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies
* A driver’s license and access to a car
