IT Delivery and Change Manager

Location: City Of Bristol, England, United Kingdom


Job Purpose

Responsibilities

* Service:
o Support the 'IT Relationship and Delivery Manager' in providing the SunLife IT response to IT related incidents, working through to resolution, making post incident changes and recommendations where required to prevent recurrence.
o Manage and oversee SunLife core IT Managed Service Provider(s) to ensure a stable, secure environment for SunLife's end to end Sales & Marketing and Operational users and applications ensuring all contractual service levels and governance obligations are met.
* Governance:
o Manage the SunLife IT CAB process, managing changes (including liaising with PMO) and patching, ensuring they are appropriately scheduled and that impacted parties are well informed and ready for the change.
o Build strong relationships with SunLife Third Parties, internal teams and Group Stakeholders, maintaining clear and open communication to ensure the SunLife business expectations of IT is met.
o Ensure SunLife maintain industry leading security standards and controls, utilising your own, group and third expertise available.
o Produce governance reporting for Group stakeholders, internal governance committees and any external reporting required – ensuring all reporting is complete, accurate, timely and clear, with appropriate detailed evidence to support reporting.
o Participate in regular reviews of issues/trends across entire IT estate, working with the team (and 3rd parties) to ensure the IT service is delivering in line with the approved budget and identifying any areas for improvement/cost efficiencies.
* Security:
o Support the IT Customer Manager in the management of InfoSec Due Diligence, stepping in to provide additional governance/guidance when necessary.

Measures of Success

* Service: Manage multiple suppliers, adhering to defined SunLife Procurement processes to control Service Levels around availability and performance; develop governance and control processes and monitor and drive improvements to reduce the % of regular and ad‑hoc incidents.
* Governance: Translate business requirements into technical solutions; lead communication and management of all IT Managed Service and Security incidents; perform regular trend analysis to address root causes.
* Security: Assist in Due Diligence process to maintain SunLife Security posture and identify vulnerabilities.


Stakeholders

* Third party IT suppliers (Managed Service & Development)


Skills and Experience

* Knowledge of development lifecycles and considerable experience of software development.
* Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that seamlessly integrate into SunLife environment.
* Recognised face of delivery, evaluating work estimates consistently for required business schedule.
* Willingness to learn new technologies to deliver solutions to technical problems.
* Awareness of new developments within the IT Delivery sector.
* Consolidated technical and management skills to lead from the front.
* Desire to develop and grow the team into a best‑in‑class delivery function with flexibility to deliver right solutions at right time.
