About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced Regulatory Reporting Senior Manager to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave. It is an exciting time for Regulatory Reporting as we undergo a complete transformation of systems and processes.
The primarily focus is on the reporting of FINREP, Asset Encumbrance and other financial reporting-based returns.
Your Purpose:
To provide senior expertise, leadership, and oversight in the preparation of regulatory returns which are submitted to our Regulators, the Bank of England (BoE), the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. This is a leadership role in a high-profile area and is a key activity within the larger Finance team.
Your daily focus:
1. You will have lead responsibility for the Financial Reporting Regulatory Reporting produced within your team
2. Highlight your industry subject matter expertise on regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring keeping yourself abreast of new reporting requirements/amendments to existing reporting ensuring these are implemented within the teams Regulatory Reporting Framework.
3. Lead and managing your teams’ workloads ensuring resources are planned, all tasks are covered, and deadlines are met without risk of error or late submissions.
4. Support the transformation of the regulatory reporting function including the implementation of new reporting software, procedures, and governance processes.
About you
Subject Matter Expert : senior expert in this area, motivated enthusiastic initiative-taking individual who understands the importance of Regulatory Reporting and risks associated with not meeting the Regulators expectations around quality and accuracy.
Organised and Resilient: You must be a highly organised individual who can work under pressure whilst remaining calm and focused on achieving tight deadlines.
Communication : working with all levels of Senior Managers across Finance and Non-Finance areas and you must have the ability and confidence to explain complex guidance and provide challenge.
Written Communication: Required to produce written documents related to policy frameworks, responses to our Regulators on regulatory discussion papers and consultation papers and papers on regulatory interpretations
Essential Requirements:
5. ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent) with 3 years PQE
6. Excel intermediate+ level (including pivots, lookups, if statements)
7. Broad knowledge of CBS organisation, products for both Retail and Wholesale
8. Ability and experience in interpreting complex guidance published by the Regulators and translating into a non-technical format
9. Knowledge of Financial Services industry
10. You will have experience in designing and implementing efficient processes with robust controls to streamline processes and improve efficiency
11. Report Writing
12. Knowledge of Treasury instruments
13. Experience in FINREP regulatory reporting
