Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester Required in South Croydon
1. Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
2. Pay: Circa £35k Basic

This opportunity is ideal for experienced technicians seeking a stable role within a reputable workshop. Our client is looking for a dedicated Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join their friendly team and contribute to delivering high-quality service to their customers.

3. Competitive basic salary of circa £35,000 per annum
4. Working hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break plus breaks either side of lunch
5. Relaxed working environment with tea breaks in a friendly atmosphere
6. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, with additional days off between Christmas and New Year
7. No weekend work or late hours
8. Working on a variety of vehicles including light vans and cars
9. Investment in training for MOT testing
Duties for the Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester role include:
10. Conducting general servicing on cars and light vans
11. Performing MOT tests, including hybrid vehicles (note: no electric vehicle repairs)
12. Carrying out clutch replacements, timing belts, and other routine maintenance
13. Using 2 poster ramps and MOT testing ramps designed for small vans and cars
14. Assisting with routine diagnostics, including code reading (dealer-level diagnostics not required)
15. Maintaining high standards of customer service and workshop efficiency
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester position:
16. Proven experience as a vehicle technician and MOT tester
17. Strong work ethic and a professional attitude
18. Experience working with 2 poster lifts and light vehicle diagnostics
19. Life experience and a calm, responsible approach
20. MOT testing certification is desirable but can be provided if necessary
21. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
