Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team in delivering high-quality plastic products to our customers. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and efficient deliveries, contributing to our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Delivery days / Rates
Deliveries are set every Tuesday and every other Thursday.
Every Tuesday is usually a set delivery day to our customer in Dewesbury this is a set rate of £120 per day, Driver must set off early morning to arrive at the customer between 9am - 11am on the Tuesday.
Every other Thursday is usually a delivery to Birtley at a rate of £150 per day
Sometimes we combine these deliveries at a higher rate of £170 and any other deliveries nearby will be at an additional pay rate per drop off.
Further warehouse work on the Thursdays not driving or other days could be available to the right candidate but not necessary.
Driving is in our own Curtain side Luton van.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport products to designated locations
* Ensure timely delivery
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles
* Assist with loading and unloading of products as needed
* Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
* Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations
* Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role
* Valid commercial driving license
* Strong knowledge of local roads and routes
* Ability to lift heavy packages safely
* Good communication skills for customer interactions
* Experience in warehouse operations is a plus
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Attention to detail in maintaining delivery records
