You will join our Forecasting & Stress Testing team within Credit Risk, building skills and knowledge while gaining exposure to how future products and customer behaviours are shaped by economic and environmental changes. You’ll develop a wide network across Nationwide, working with colleagues in Portfolio, Product, Finance, and Capital, and contribute to data insights, analysis, and process improvement. Alongside your role, you’ll attend development workshops and collaborate on a Social Impact project with other Industrial Placements. This placement also provides a pathway into our Skills Development Programmes post university. We help deliver Nationwide’s strategy in a safe and sustainable way, providing expertise and constructive challenge to colleagues so we can support both current and future customers with confidence. The Forecasting & Stress Testing team have a variety of accountabilities across Credit Risk with our forecast outputs feeding into regulatory stress tests, new lending strategies, risk appetites and financial planning. What you’ll be doing During this 12‑month Industrial Placement, you’ll build valuable knowledge and skills while connecting with teams across our Risk function. You’ll gain hands‑on experience that will prepare you for a rewarding career in banking and give you a strong foundation in risk management. Your journey will focus on developing expertise in analytical and data visualisation skills, reporting and insight creation, trend identification and analysis, and modelling and forecasting within Risk Modelling You’ll join a bespoke 12-month project aligned to our Social Impact strategy to develop core business skills, providing opportunities to learn new skills. You’ll also build a strong network and work alongside other high-performance, purpose-driven Industrial Placements from across the organisation.
