Job Overview
Mitie is looking for a Corporate Security Receptionist to join our established team at the Euro Central client site. The role involves daily duties such as pass checking, patrols, customer service, answering calls and emails. The position operates on a weekly rotation with shifts from 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00, 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £13.48 (currently under review).
Main Duties
* Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and the site’s Assignment Instructions.
* Carry out pass checking, patrols, customer service and communications duties.
* Protect the client’s property, people and assets in line with published Assignment Instructions.
* Meet or exceed key performance indicators and service level agreements to support contract retention.
* Maintain professional conduct with challenging customers and in difficult situations.
* Record accurate, detailed incident logs promptly after any occurrence.
* Adhere to safety requirements, report hazards and potential threats immediately.
* Conduct check calls on time, as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
* Call emergency services or the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
Training
* Complete all required competency training.
* Undergo additional training for continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to meet work objectives and develop job knowledge.
* Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Remain alert to health & safety hazards, threats or changes within the work environment.
* Use common sense and initiative; involve others if a situation appears threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct during difficult interactions.
* Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
* Ensure compliance with industry and statutory legislation, including a front‑line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision and a CCTV PSS SIA Licence.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous security experience.
* SIA Licence.
* Driver’s licence and own vehicle or reliable means of commuting.
