We are currently seeking a Housing Officer to join our dedicated team in the Greater Ipswich Area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site, directly supporting tenants with complex needs in a supported living environment.
As a Housing Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing tenancy agreements, maintaining safe and stable living arrangements, and acting as a key liaison between residents, care staff, and property partners. Your work will contribute directly to the wellbeing and independence of vulnerable individuals across our services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage tenancy agreements in collaboration with residents and our property partner, The Orkis Group
* Address and document any issues related to anti-social behaviour or tenancy breaches
* Conduct regular property inspections and risk assessments
* Maintain effective communication with residents to ensure their housing-related needs are met
* Work closely with support workers and clinical staff to promote a safe and supportive living environment
* Ensure compliance with housing policies, safeguarding protocols, and regulatory standards
* Provide administrative support for housing allocations, void management, and maintenance requests
* Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to housing support plans
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in Tenancy Management or Housing Management
* Sound knowledge of current housing legislation, rights, and responsibilities
* Experience working within supportive housing, supported living, or social care settings
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Effective time management and ability to prioritise workload
* Relevant qualification or certification in Housing Management, Social Work, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
