Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 Hours
Starting at 33,540 per annum, dependent on qualifications & experience
About the Role
Cedar Health and Wellbeing have a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is ready for a challenge, has a can-do attitude, and is highly motivated to help establish our Residential Service in Preston, which will support individuals with Autism, Learning disabilities, and complex needs.
You will lead and model your team by providing positive examples of good practice and leadership. Your role will be to implement bespoke support plans, encourage, and empower individuals to make their own choices and take control of decisions that affect their lives.

* Understand the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (2008) in relation to best interest decision-making
* Promote the work of the service to referrers, partners, commissioners, and stakeholders to grow the business and maintain effective relationships
* Be knowledgeable about Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and able to investigate/report incidents
* Experience in managing residential services or similar environments
* Experience managing a staff team, setting objectives, and ensuring development and goals are met
* Ensure all policies and procedures are followed across services
What we are looking for
* Must have experience managing a Residential service
* Knowledge and experience leading a service to full compliance, including CQC inspections
* Relevant qualifications - Level 5 Leadership and Management or equivalent
* Organized and able to prioritize demands
* Participation in the On-Call Rota
* Must be a driver

* Co-operate with the employer to ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and policies
Data Protection
The post holder must respect confidentiality in line with the Data Protection Act, handling data lawfully and only for specified purposes.
Safeguarding & Mental Capacity
Complete training on Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and the Mental Capacity Act. Understand and implement policies, report concerns, and complete alerts.
