About the Role
Ossett Academy & Accord Sixth Form are seeking a visionary Head of Geography to drive academic excellence and lead a forward‑thinking team, inspiring pupils with a love of the subject.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop an engaging, ambitious Geography curriculum that brings the subject to life.
* Deliver high‑quality teaching, support pupils to achieve their best, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the Humanities department and the wider academy.
* Play an active role in the Academy’s wider life, contributing positively to its ethos and culture.
Qualifications
* Excellent Geography teacher with a clear vision and experience in teaching or middle leadership.
* Strong organisational skills, ability to continue developing leadership skills, and a commitment to teamwork and best practice sharing.
* Experience of curriculum planning and delivery that captivates and challenges pupils.
