The role
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven individual to join our Group Procurement and Contracts team in a key delivery role. Operating within the Group Business Services Category covering both technology and professional services, the successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure best value is achieved through effective sourcing and contract management.
This role requires strong commercial acumen and the ability to lead procurement exercises aligned with strategic and performance objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement across procurement activities.
Travel between different MAG airport locations may be required for this role.
What will make you successful in the role?
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of basic contract law, with hands-on experience in contract formation and administration. They will be familiar with tendering processes and ideally the Procurement Act 2023.
Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and a measured approach to decision-making are essential to ensure best value procurement.
The role requires experience in cost and price analysis, along with the ability to evaluate tender responses effectively.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills, with a proven track record of working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Excel skills are preferred, alongside intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint and Word. Holding an MCIPS or equivalent commercial qualification, or a willingness to work towards one, will be considered advantageous but not essential.
