This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land/sites. You will lead a professional team through the planning process to obtain satisfactory consents, support the construction phase, and ongoing asset management.
You will develop relationships with key third parties such as landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers. This role involves ownership of the full development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Note: To align with company structure, this role is internally called Senior Acquisitions Consultant.
What you'll do
1. Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to expand our store network.
2. Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage due diligence on legal and planning matters.
3. Manage the planning application lifecycle from submission to approval and conditions discharge.
4. Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement projects.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
6. Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion.
7. Manage real estate assets, including freehold and leasehold properties.
What you'll need
1. A self-starting attitude and drive to succeed.
2. Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant field.
3. Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
4. MRICS qualification is preferred.
5. Strong negotiation skills and a well-established network.
6. Sound legal and commercial property knowledge.
7. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
8. Analytical mindset with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
10. Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
