The Wediko School, based in Hillsborough, NH, provides state-of-the-art residential treatment and therapeutic boarding school services to middle- and high-school-aged boys facing social-emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. This position is crucial in creating a transformational treatment experience, working as part of an interdisciplinary team under supervision from Masters-level clinicians, making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth.
How You Will Be Making A Difference
* Behavioral management of students according to their ITP, utilizing tools like behavioral checklists.
* Providing regular individual supervision to children.
* Developing and implementing recreational activities on and off campus.
* Facilitating daily group therapy sessions with students.
* Providing therapeutic experiences aligned with each child's ITP.
* Managing crises and reporting critical incidents.
* Overseeing students' physical and psychological safety.
* Balancing limit setting, directions, and nurturing appropriately.
* Monitoring and caring for students' daily needs.
* Communicating with staff about student and setting issues.
* Transporting students as needed, including to activities, home, or appointments.
* Completing medication management training and assisting with medication administration.
* Documenting daily logs, behavior tracking, incidents, progress summaries, and supply requests.
* Participating in campus maintenance and on-call weekends.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years' experience working with youth in similar settings or seven years of parenting.
* High school diploma.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Completion of CPI and Medication Administration Training.
* Preferred: a driving record suitable for transporting students in Wediko vehicles.

Abilities Required
The role involves walking on rugged, wooded terrain, engaging in outdoor and indoor activities, and physical tasks like bending, holding, and lifting, as per CPI techniques.
