Cheshire West and Chester Council's Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) department is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Business Relationship Manager to provide an effective interface between DDAT service and the wider council to identify, shape and address business demand for ICT capability. Responsibilities include:
1. Work with services to understand business objectives and strategies and translate these into requirements for DDAT capability now and in the future.
2. Act as an advocate within DDAT for their allocated business area.
3. Ensure the development of business requirements for new or replacement technologies are translated into business output specifications in liaison with key business stakeholders.
4. Work with services, and colleagues across the DDAT service, to ensure the council is exploiting current, new and emerging technologies to best effect and coordinating improvement work.
5. Monitor changes in the wider business environment, capturing business problems and opportunities and promoting the potential of technology solutions to support these changes.
6. Forecast business requirements based on defined needs across their assigned service area.
7. Work alongside other Business Relationship Managers to ensure a consistent business engagement approach between DDAT and the wider business areas in the Council.
8. Identify common functionality requirements, and opportunities for standardisation with the Digital Commissioning Team and Business Stakeholders.
9. Embed new technologies in the Council through planning user training closely aligned to application configuration.
The ideal candidate will have a degree level qualification or equivalent experience , a post-graduate ICT qualification and/or extensive professional experience of working in the ICT industry and meet the essential criteria as detailed in the job profile.
