Job Title: Semi-Skilled Operative - Clean Room (Contract)

About the Role
Our aerospace client in Hamble, Southampton is seeking a Semi-Skilled Operative to join their clean room team on a contract basis. This role involves working within the composite details department, primarily supporting mould tool cleaning, preparation, and movement, as well as data collection processes.
The position is physically active, including lifting, moving, and handling equipment and tools. Training will be provided to obtain a Forklift Licence and Hubtex Licence.
Pay Rates
Semi-Skilled PAYE
Earlies: £15.38/hour
Overtime (over 37 hrs & Saturdays): £23.07/hour
Sundays & Bank Holidays: £30.76/hourHoliday pay is accrued in addition for PAYE workers.
Semi-Skilled Umbrella
Earlies: £21.14/hour
Overtime (over 37 hrs & Saturdays): £31.70/hour
Sundays & Bank Holidays: £42.27/hour

Mon-Thu: 06:00 - 14:15
Fri: 06:00 - 12:00
Key Responsibilities
Support safe and efficient production within a cleanroom environment.
Mould tool preparation for the composite lamination/lay-up process.
De-bagging and part marking after the curing process.
Preparing NC fixtures for trimming.
Operating machinery such as Forklift, Hubtex, AGV, and MGV.
Movement of mould tools, fixtures, and panels within the composite facility.
Maintaining consumables and ensuring workstation cleanliness.
Operating MES system to ensure correct panel tracking.
Recording data, including panel countersink measurements.
Raising Deficiency Reports (DRs) where required.
Supporting and coaching trainees, sharing knowledge across the team.
Promoting and adhering to all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), quality, and cost management standards.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Good level of dexterity and manual handling capability.
Competence in numeracy, literacy, and basic IT.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, self-motivated, and proactive attitude.
Excellent timekeeping and attention to detail.
Willingness to undertake additional training (AGV & MGV, Slinging & Lifting).
Desirable:
Knowledge of composite detail manufacture (lay-up/lamination).
Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, or cleanroom environments.
Positive approach to change and adaptability across different programs.
