Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd.

Job Purpose -
This role is within the Media area of the Creative Arts Programme at Coleg Menai, located at the new Campus in Bangor. The Media courses are renowned and respected across Wales and beyond, with alumni achieving success nationally and internationally in the arts sector.
The curriculum includes FE courses from level 1 to level 4.
This is an opportunity for a Media lecturer to join our successful, dynamic, and supportive team.
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high standards of teaching and learning within their area of expertise and provide ongoing support, advice, and guidance to students to promote success.
Key expectations of the role:
1. Provide high-quality teaching, create effective learning opportunities, and enable all learners to achieve their potential.
2. Maintain high standards of the provision with support given to learners.
3. Ensure adherence to the Group's policies and procedures.
4. Support learners to succeed, achieve their targets or higher, and challenge and stretch them.
The role involves lecturing on Media courses, focusing on teaching technical skills such as editing. It is based in the new Campus in Bangor within Parc Menai, which features state-of-the-art resources. You will contribute to curriculum development aligned with industry priorities to prepare learners for the 21st-century workforce.
Weekly hours - Up to 16 hours per week, part-time, hourly paid contract, from Monday to Friday. Work pattern to be agreed based on availability. Subject and level of delivery depend on qualifications and experience.
Weeks per year - 35 weeks, during term time.
Pension provider - Teachers Pensions Agency.
Annual Leave - Pro-rata paid holiday entitlement for each academic year (September 1 to August 31), including pro-rata entitlement of 8 bank and public holidays observed in Wales, and up to 5 pro-rata efficiency days (subject to change annually). Total annual leave is based on a full-time equivalent entitlement of 46 days.
