Job Title: Quality Assurance Tester (Gaming / VR)
Location: UK- Remote
Duration: Contract (Until December 2026)
About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Tester with experience in gaming, VR, or immersive applications to join a fast-paced development environment. In this role, you will work closely with development teams to test in-development features, tools, and content while ensuring high product quality across the development lifecycle.
This position is highly hands-on and requires someone who can work independently, take initiative, and proactively identify testing needs without constant direction.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with developers to test and help debug features, content, and tools during development
* Create and manage comprehensive test plans to ensure proper software coverage
* Execute smoke tests on nightly builds and report critical issues
* Document bugs clearly and thoroughly following defined bug-reporting guidelines
* Identify reliable bug reproduction steps to assist the development team
* Produce reports evaluating the quality of features, content, or specific areas of the product
* Collaborate with internal and external QA teams to ensure testing coverage at every development stage
* Break down large tasks into manageable testing activities and report outcomes effectively
* Build strong expertise in the product to improve testing strategies and quality assessments
Required Skills & Experience
* 4–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance testing, preferably within gaming or immersive technology
* Experience testing VR, console, or PC games
* Strong experience with JIRA for bug tracking and reporting
* Experience creating documentation using Confluence
* Hands-on experience managing and executing test plans in TestRail
* Familiarity with QA methodologies, testing processes, and workflows
* Ability to work independently and proactively identify testing needs
* Strong communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have
* ISTQB certification or similar QA certification
* Experience working with external QA teams
* Experience with proprietary debugging or performance measurement tools
* Previous experience testing immersive or interactive environments
