About the Role
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and support a team of skilled fabricators and assemblers to meet production targets and quality standards.
* Hands-On Involvement: Actively participate in daily operations, including fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes, ensuring best practices are followed.
* Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards through regular inspections and adherence to client specifications, particularly for automotive components.
* Workflow Management: Coordinate production schedules, allocate tasks effectively, and manage resources to optimize efficiency.
* Training & Development: Provide guidance and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill enhancement.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a team leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Strong background in metal fabrication, with proficiency in working with stainless steel and aluminium.
* Familiarity with automotive component manufacturing, preferably with experience related to classic or bespoke vehicles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
* Commitment to quality, precision, and attention to detail.
* Formal qualification or hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
* Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Knowledge of production standards and requirements.
