With a minimum of one year's experience in the UK education system, you are knowledgeable about the needs of vulnerable children and have a proactive approach to service delivery and continuous improvement. What the Job Involves The Virtual School Officer is responsible for tracking and enhancing the academic progress of Looked After Children aged 2-18. The role involves direct intervention to resolve education-related issues and leading Personal Education Plan meetings in compliance with statutory guidelines. You'll provide guidance to educational and social services staff, advocate for children during admissions and exclusions, and ensure the completion of high-quality Personal Education Plans. You will be integral in developing and maintaining partnerships to ensure effective service delivery and adherence to the Council's vision of putting residents first.
