Job Description

Bank of London offers a safer business banking model by holding all deposits at the Bank of England, eliminating the risk of 'bank runs.' It provides services such as Payments, Clearing and Settlement, Embedded Banking, Safeguarding and Client Money Accounts, and Virtual Accounts. Powered by proprietary technology, the bank collaborates with SAP Fioneer to deliver innovative solutions. With a focus on exceptional service and core values of compassion, ownership, and curiosity, the bank strives for excellence in all it does.

We are looking for a Business Analyst (BA) with deep experience in core banking systems to join our growing product function. This role is key to translating business needs into technical user stories across areas such as customer data, account management, payments, deposits, finance, and customer data.
You’ll work closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define functional and non-functional requirements, contribute to systems design, and ensure the successful implementation of core banking capabilities. A strong understanding of banking processes, data structures, and system integrations is essential.

Role Description:
* Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document detailed functional requirements for the Bank’s core banking platform.
* Translate business processes into technical workflows, user stories, and specifications for engineering teams.
* Analyse existing systems and data structures to assess impacts of change and opportunities for optimisation.
* Support end-to-end solution design, including mapping dependencies between core banking modules and surrounding systems (e.g., payments gateways, general ledger, CRM and TM&S application).
* Work with QA and developers to validate acceptance criteria and support testing.
* Support data migration, reconciliation, and systems integration during platform rollouts or upgrades.
Requirements:
* Experience as a Business Analyst in the core banking area.
* Deep understanding of banking products and processes (must have experience in deposits, payments, and account management).
* Strong technical fluency, able to work with API’s, data models and technical architecture diagrams.
* Must have experience writing user stories and process flows.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with engineers.
* Understanding of agile SDLC methodology.
* Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Postman.

Diversity;
Bank of London is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusion, diversity and belonging. All qualified applicants are welcome and will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, age, religion or religious expression, sex, sexual orientation, gender or gender identity and expression, transgender, national origin, or military veteran status.
