Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (E,C&I) Team Leader

Salary: Circa £62,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, 07:00 – 15:30
Location: Millerhill EfW, EH22 1SX

About the Role

As an E,C&I Team Leader at FCC Environment, you will supervise the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technicians and take a practical role in maintaining, fault-finding, inspecting, and repairing key electrical and control systems across the Energy-from-Waste plant. Your work ensures safe, reliable, and high-performing plant operations, supporting both environmental and business performance.

This is a full-time role, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?

- Lead and support the E,C&I Technicians, ensuring daily tasks and safety standards are met
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs across electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
- Monitor plant performance, identifying issues early and helping to reduce downtime
- Assist with maintenance planning and scheduling to support high plant availability and smooth operations
- Oversee contractors on site and provide technical guidance to operations and other teams
- Support outage preparation, inspections, and key safety and compliance activities

What are we looking for?

- Experience in electrical process plant environments and instrumentation
- The ability to supervise others and work with contractors
- Strong fault-finding skills across E,C&I systems
- Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Good understanding of safety standards and maintenance practices
- Flexible, resilient, and able to work independently
