Growth The Growth team is responsible for defining and driving the execution of Planet's Growth and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies. Within our team we combine Go-To-Market strategy, Marketing, Inside Sales, Pre-Sales Consulting and Revenue Operations to grow Planet's business and expand into new markets and customer segments. From top level strategy to operational excellence and execution. We design end-to-end customer acquisition journeys and drive high impact Go-To-Market motions at scale. Role Overview As a Business Development Representative, you'll serve as the bridge between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and qualify inbound sales leads, ensuring they are well-prepared for the sales process. You'll engage with potential clients, nurture relationships, and facilitate a smooth handoff to our Sales team for deal closure. What you will do: Qualifying Leads: evaluate leads generated from marketing campaigns to determine their potential as sales opportunities, with a focus on assessing the fit between the lead's needs and our products/services. Client Outreach: initiate contact with potential clients through phone calls and emails to present Planet's value proposition and offerings. Understanding Client Needs: engage in conversations to understand client pain points, goals, and requirements and to suggest appropriate products or services based on their needs. Building Relationships: cultivate strong relationships with clients and be their first point of contact with Planet, establishing a customer-first priority. Collaboration: regularly report outcomes from Lead qualification process and discuss trends in the market with Sales management; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client transitions. Staying Informed: keep up-to-date with new products, services, and pricing/payment plans. Who you are: 3 years of Inside Sales or Business Development experience. Knowledgeable in messaging strategy and how to qualify prospects over phone. Highly motivated, tenacious, passionate, and consistently achieving high level of objective success. Experience with various sales tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, Chorus, etc. Requirement for fluent English and German language; additional preference to speak one of the core languages: Spanish, Italian or French. Self-starter who is proactive, highly motivated, organized and curious with a desire to drive constant improvement. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to convey and relate ideas to others, comfortable in presenting to, and influencing, senior leaders across the business. Flexible and a genuine team player, willing to go the extra mile to support others.
