We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapists to join our comprehensive Band 5 rotation scheme.

We invite applications from newly qualified physiotherapists or those with some post-graduation experience who are keen to consolidate and build on graduate skills and broaden their experience, to join our well established and comprehensive Physiotherapy Rotation.

The rotations are of 6 months duration and take place across the following disciplines: Community Therapy, Stroke Unit, Community Hospital, Community Respiratory Service, Children's Therapies, Mental Health, Learning Disability and MSK, across the whole of Oxfordshire.

You will work as a Band 5 physiotherapist in a variety of teams providing a high standard of physiotherapy care to patients with a range of presentations and conditions providing assessment, agreeing meaningful goals and formulating individualised treatment plans.

You will work as an autonomous practitioner with responsibility for your own caseload working without direct supervision but with support from senior physiotherapists within the department.

You will be expected to participate in regular in-service training, and formal and informal supervision.

The variety of clinical placements have different working hours, the majority work Monday to Friday but some offer a service 8.00 am - 8.00pm Monday to Sunday therefore there will be a requirement for you to work flexibly between those times.

Applicants must have a full valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.

Band 5 posts are designed to consolidate and build on graduate skills and academic knowledge, giving the newly qualified Physiotherapist a broad practical education of a range of patients and conditions.

The rotations are currently 6 months' duration (subject to change) and take place across the following disciplines:

Community Therapy

Community Hospital

Stroke Unit

Community Respiratory Service

Children's Integrated Therapies

Mental Health

Learning Disability

MSK

The core rotations are Community Therapy and Community Hospital and the expectation is that all post holders cover these. There is the opportunity to then request specialist rotations once the core rotations have been completed. Specialist rotations are in locations around the county and therefore travel is inevitable.

The post-holder will work within a multidisciplinary or specialist rehabilitation team as part of a rotational post and be provided with a diverse range of experiences. Care delivered must be of high quality, cost-effective, and efficient and, safe.

The post-holder may encounter patients who are adults, older adults or children and their carers / families in Oxfordshire. Care is delivered outside of the acute hospital setting and rehabilitation emphasis is on self-management, access to the patient's environment and return to previous employment or involvement in the community. The post-holder may work in teams where the goal is prevention of admission or in one which supports early discharge from the acute hospital setting.

To work within a generic or specialist rehabilitation team as part of a rotational post and be provided with a diverse range of experiences, and deliver high quality, cost-effective and efficient rehabilitation.

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to patients, in alignment with national and professional guidelines empowering individuals to manage their conditions and reach their full potential.

To perform physiotherapeutic assessments of patients with diverse presentations and physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and formulate an individualised treatment plan.
