We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Power Bi and SQL Reporting Admin to support our Technology Team, based at our Head office in Didcot, Oxfordshire. We operate a hybrid working model: three or more days from the office, the remainder of the week from home. We are looking for an agile and proactive Power Bi and SQL Reporting Admin with a positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit who can help us nurture this company culture. Reporting directly to the IT Team Lead the Power Bi and SQL Reporting Admin is responsible for managing our reporting function, focusing on the development, and optimization of business intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data analysis, and will be responsible for delivering actionable insights and comprehensive reporting to drive data-driven decision-making. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Power BI Development: Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that meet the needs of stakeholders across various departments. • Data Management & SQL Querying: Utilize SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI. Write complex SQL queries to analyze large datasets and ensure data integrity and accuracy. • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units and management to understand reporting needs, gather requirements, and deliver tailored solutions. Present and explain complex data insights in a clear and actionable format. • Reporting Process Optimization: Improve and automate reporting processes, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of data-driven insights. Ensure that reports and dashboards are updated on time and remain relevant to business goals. • Data Governance & Quality Assurance: Implement data governance standards to ensure consistent and accurate reporting. Review and validate data to ensure quality and consistency across reports and dashboards. • Training & Support: Provide training and support to team members and end-users in using Power BI and understanding reports. TECHNICAL SKILLS • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Data Modeling, Power BI Service). • Expertise in SQL Server and other relational databases (MS SQL, MySQL, etc.). • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts. • Proficiency in Excel for ad-hoc analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with cloud-based BI tools (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus. • Strong experience working with SQL, including writing complex queries and handling large datasets.
