Clinical Lead

We are currently recruiting within Adult Secure Services a motivated, enthusiastic, and inspirational leader in the role of Clinical Lead (Band 7), to complement our senior leadership team across Adult Secure Service. This role will be clinically leading a ward within Ravenswood House.

You will clinically manage the ward, while supporting the ward to deliver on the overall quality improvements, ensuring that a continuous cycle of clinical improvement is embedded throughout the units.

You will lead on clinical care and patient pathways on the ward.

You will lead on maintaining and improving patient outcomes for within the service.

You will act as a positive transformational change lead, proficiently delivering on improving service users' outcomes and the performance of the service.

You will be working some clinical shifts, as required by the Modern Matron.

You will be expected to manage, maintain and improve a number of systems that will work alongside Trust strategies and Secure Services agendas, including the patient incident system, quality improvement strategy and patient experience improvement.

Main duties of the job

You will lead on clinical care and patient pathways.

Lead on the improvement plans set by the service, ensuring that a continuous cycle of clinical improvement is embedded throughout the service. To act as a positive transformational change lead, proficiently delivering on improving service users' outcomes and the performance of the unit.

The post holder will be expected to manage, maintain and improve a number of systems that will work alongside Trust strategies and Secure Services agendas, including the patient incident system, quality improvement strategy and patient experience improvement.

They will be expected to work autonomously and create strong working relationships with the service leads, the post holder will need to be creative and flexible, whilst maintaining a focus on improving patient outcomes.

The post holder will be managed by the Modern Matron and working closely with the other clinical leaders and the MDT to maintain high standards of patient care. The post holder will work collaboratively with the medical staff and other allied health professionals supporting the delivery of patient care to ensure the well‑being of patients, staff and visitors is paramount to the unit ethos. The post holder will need to identify opportunities for assisting the unit in order to make overall improvements and will be expected to work with minimal supervision.

Job responsibilities

To support the Secure services leadership team to lead on clinical care and patient pathways.

This role will be clinically leading a ward within Ravenswood House.

To lead on the required action plans.

To lead on maintaining and improving patient outcomes for within the service.

Provide effective leadership to staff which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a team, in the achievement of the Trust's objectives and priorities. The Trust's success will be dependent on all staff playing an active role to make sure the existing areas of good employment practice are universally embedded within the organisation.

To support the senior leadership team to deliver high quality care.

To work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Trust.

To establish and maintain productive working relationships and communications with key stakeholders.

To contribute to relevant internal and external committees and forums, and represent the services as required.

To provide progress reports aligned to measurable project deliverables to the Senior Management team and other key stakeholders.


Person Specification


Qualifications

* RMN/RNLD/RN Child/RGN with Professional NMC Registration – (appropriate part of the register)
* Masters Level Degree or equivalent knowledge gained through significant experience
* Management /leadership Training
* Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
