As a Chemistry Teacher, you will design and deliver stimulating lessons that bring scientific concepts to life. From practical experiments to theory-based learning, you will encourage curiosity and help students build strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also play a key role in preparing students for exams and fostering a lifelong interest in science. Main Responsibilities of a Chemistry Teacher Plan and deliver dynamic Chemistry lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Use practical experiments to engage and inspire student learning. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing additional support as needed. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the delivery of science across the school. Chemistry Teacher Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent qualification. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science, or a related subject. Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Previous teaching experience in Chemistry is desirable. A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
