Housing services manager

We are currently working in partnership with a local council based in Surrey, who are looking to appoint a Tenancy Services Manager on a 3-month temporary to permanent.

This will be a full-time position with a negotiable day rate. The salary will be £50k-£52k.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a group of Housing Officers and in-depth understanding of relevant legislation.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing a team of four Housing Officers
• Overseeing estate services and ensuring compliance with SLAs, tenancy conditions, rent arrears processes, and ASB policies, progressing cases to legal action when required
• Conducting regular quality assurance checks, monitored team and individual performances, and took timely action to address issues
• Promoting tenancy sustainability by signposting residents to support services, built strong partnerships, engaged with communities, and encouraged resident involvement

Experience required:

• Experience managing Housing Officers
• Experience in tenancy management, rents and ASB

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage and encourage team to highest standards

Working hours:

• 37.5 a week
• Monday – Friday
• 9am-5pm
