Experience working in a childcare setting is required for this role. A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential. Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Pay: £12.21 - £12.47 per Hour *plus accrued holiday pay Working Hours: Zero hour contract - This gives you flexibility to work different shifts each week depending on the Nursery needs, between 8am-6pm - Monday to Friday. Our two beautiful buildings were beautifully refurbished in 2019, and we now care for 60 children each day. At Little Green Rascals Haxby we’ve created an environment that mimics ‘bringing the outside in’, embracing nature and embedding it into our everyday learning. We have a little secret garden away from the noise of all the rooms the children enjoy mini garden sessions. This is where we grow, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries and peas. What Your Role Involves As a valued member of our team, you’ll: Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive. Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework. Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents. Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
