Safran Seats is a leading global manufacturer of aircraft seats for both crew and passengers, with 1 million seats in service worldwide.
Mission Description
In the UK, Safran Seats specializes in First Class and Business Class seating for wide-body aircraft, with teams based in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England. The role involves coordinating daily production requirements, focusing on reducing non-value-added activities (NVA), managing production orders and deliveries, maximizing efficiency, reducing waste, and achieving on-time delivery (OTD). The role also includes participating in continuous improvement activities within the production system.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure production requirements are integrated into the daily schedule and communicate work coordination to colleagues.
* Take responsibility for component quality and conformity.
* Implement best practices and maintain high housekeeping standards.
* Minimize shop-floor material inventory.
* Contribute to achieving cell performance outputs, measured against KPIs and NVA metrics.
* Maintain standardized work and share learning experiences.
* Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the company's health & safety policy.
* Process NCRs and MRB stock cages.
* Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by your manager.

Candidate Skills
* Good knowledge of Baan, GCSE/NVQ Level 2.
* Understanding of SSGB product and quality concerns.
* Good understanding of MRP principles.
* Valuable if your experience differs slightly from the desired qualifications; we welcome diverse experiences that can add value to the role.
