Responsibilities of a Sous Chef are listed but not limited to: Kitchen management and supervising and leading a team
Proven experience of kitchen leadership position
Experience of cooking skills and techniques
Creative flair for curating and changing menus according to costing, portions and seasonal produce
Highest form of food compliance and preparation and leading this throughout the kitchen
Being able to train and mentor staff
Stocktake, delivery and Inventory supervision
Qualifications within food hygiene and health and safety
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
About us The Sheffield Arms is a 1600 year old pub situated in the heart of a bustling community village. We are famous for our unlimited carvery served 6 days a week which brings in 280 covers on a Sunday. We have 5 letting rooms being renovated this year and a new private event space renovated in a rustic theme. We plan to expand operations in this space and are open to new ideas to do with menus, events etc.
The company director is young but, experienced and is looking for a sous chef who shares his passion for hospitality, innovation and quality. He wants a sous chef who sees this as career move, to build something extra special rather than a filler job.
