Are you a talented and ambitious Cost Manager based in the Southwest looking to work on exciting infrastructure projects that can change the world? We are searching for Cost Managers to support our growth plans, working with key infrastructure clients in the Southwest, especially in water and environment sectors, and supporting the successful delivery of capital projects and programmes of work. You will join an established team of experts passionate about innovation and delivering cutting‑edge solutions. As a Cost Manager within our Buildings & Places Infrastructure team, you will provide comprehensive, accurate, value‑driven services for large, high‑profile projects across highways, rail, and power sectors for clients such as Highways England, Network Rail, and National Grid. The role covers all aspects of cost management throughout the entire project lifecycle from inception to completion.
What You’ll Do
* Deliver all aspects of cost management from project inception to completion, including feasibility estimates, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering, fee generation, risk management, dispute resolution, post‑contract management and final account agreements.
* Achieve the highest standards of professional competence and demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the company’s profile.
* Help drive performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication and use of the performance‑management process and AECOM technical practice networks.
* Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, upholding and enhancing the firm’s profile as a provider of premium quality services to the construction industry.
Qualifications
* Experience in the Cost Management/Quantity Surveying field, ideally on infrastructure projects.
* Good working knowledge of the NEC4 suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
* Experience in cost/commercial management as part of integrated, multi‑organisation, collaborative teams.
* Experience working within a client organisation, directly or through a colocation/secondment arrangement.
* Ability to identify and influence key client stakeholders, building effective relationships to grow workload and portfolio.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
* Accredited MRICS or working towards membership.
