This role is based on site at Ashton Vale, Bristol with Monday – Thursday 07:30am – 16:00pm and Friday 07:30am – 12:00pm.
The Role
As a Production Support Technician - Repair and Overhaul, you’ll have a role that’s engaging and challenging. Supporting the work on building and repairing both current and future defence systems within launch and handling systems. Day-to-day, you’ll contribute to shaping the future of submarine capability within defence. You’ll continually develop your knowledge and expertise in all things Repair/manufacturing too.
* Help the production controller with maintenance, repair and overhaul of products and equipment to ensure that they are repaired efficiently, operate effectively, and are maintained to the highest standards.
* Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, including Production Controller, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement & Supply Chain and Quality to ensure that products and equipment are delivered and aligned to customer needs.
* Create shop orders, work packs, drawing folders and other relevant paperwork for new projects.
* Raise requisitions for quotes for spares to repair assemblies.
* Raise pick lists for allocation of spares for repair.
Essential experience
* Preferably, but not essential, a background in manufacturing and Repair and Overhaul.
* Ability to work autonomously at times but also as part of a larger team.
* Computer literate and able to pick up new software/ERP (IFS/SAP etc).
* Knowledge of Health and Safety in a working environment.
* Basic project planning.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. However, the successful candidate will be eligible to start on Standard (BPSS) security clearance but will need to obtain Security Check (SC) security clearance once in post.
