Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of acute care experience and active ARRT(R) certification.
Responsibilities Position is based in an acute care hospital radiology department
Work in general X-ray with one X-ray room, one Fluoro room, and portable machines
Patient population primarily includes adults with occasional ER pediatric patients
Coverage includes general X-ray, OR, ER, in-patient, and outpatient areas
Required to operate C-ARM during OR cases such as general ortho, cystos, and ERCPs
Equipment includes Toshiba Fluoro and X-ray room, a newer GE X-ray room, and portable machines
Uses Epic EMR for documentation
Night shifts: every other Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Occasional call with a 45-minute response time, one week every 6 weeks shared among three technologists
Orientation is approximately 1–2 weeks depending on skill set and includes EPIC training
Will perform general X-ray, Fluoro, and OR imaging procedures as needed, including use of portable and stationary equipment
Department provides approximately 12 hours of orientation and training on equipment
Dress code requires black pants and any solid colored scrub top
Holiday coverage required as needed
Returning candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facilities within the past year
Permanent residence of at least 50 miles from the facility is required for certain states including AZ, NV, NE, IA, and MN
Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent acute care X-ray experience
Active BLS certification required
ARRT(R) certification required
Ability to independently operate C-ARM and perform general X-ray and Fluoro studies
Experience in OR, ER, in-patient, and outpatient imaging settings
Experience with Epic EMR required or willingness to train
License required if applicable, must be active at time of consideration
Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
Two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
