This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic company during a period of significant growth. As our Marketing Assistant, you will report to the Marketing Manager and sit within the Campaigns team, working alongside the Senior Marketing Manager, Direct Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing Campaigns. You’ll also collaborate with colleagues across the wider business – so there will always be people to support you and bounce ideas off. The role is predominantly remote, but you’ll connect with your marketing teammates daily and regularly engage with our members and business partners. You’ll be fully supported as you grow in your role, with plenty of opportunities to put forward new ideas and learn from those around you. We’re looking for someone highly organised to support the Campaigns team across a wide range of activities, including: Email marketing Copywriting for magazines and blogs Data management Working with external suppliers Printed Point of Sale General administration It’s a key support role with the chance to get stuck into a variety of projects and gain lots of hands-on experience. You will help ensure campaigns launch on time and meet the objectives of our members and business partners. As your confidence and experience grow, you’ll quickly have the opportunity to lead smaller campaigns from start to finish. To be successful in this role, you would… Have a good understanding of general marketing principles across digital, print and direct mail Be keen to learn more about B2C email marketing, including how to use broadcast platforms to create and send marketing emails (some previous experience would be beneficial) Have excellent written, copywriting and proof-reading skills, with an exceptional eye for detail Be very organised and able to juggle multiple tasks where priorities can change at short notice Feel confident speaking up, challenging ideas and bringing new ones to the table Have an aptitude for analysing data and spotting trends that can be used to improve campaigns and communications Be comfortable speaking with external contacts and confident building relationships, including attending occasional face-to-face events, sometimes outside normal office hours Have an appetite to learn new skills and a desire to achieve and grow Be happy to assist with other marketing activities as and when required Be a great team player and enjoy a bit of banter – after all, there’s no reason why work shouldn’t be fun! Experience you can give a "thumbs up" to includes… Degree-level education, ideally with a focus on marketing or business studies Around one year’s previous marketing experience, ideally in a travel or marketing-related role Understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing principles, especially email marketing and social media Experience building business relationships by phone, email and face-to-face Some knowledge of design software such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop (useful but not essential) Ability to apply a “test, learn, refine” approach to your work Ability to work independently with a level of autonomy, while also adapting your working style to the needs of the team A naturally enthusiastic and committed attitude Awareness of how CRM platforms are used to manage customer contacts for email communications Please note, due to not having a sponsorship license, we can only accept applications from people within the UK who can prove their right to work.
