This role is within Ocado’s Solutions division, supporting our global partners to maintain long-term relationships and ensure success. The Solutions Analytics team aims to “Provide insight, advice, and services to help our partners and prospects succeed and grow with OSP.”
About the role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will lead projects utilizing ecommerce, marketing, and customer data to identify efficiency gains and growth opportunities for our OSP partners. Your insights will influence multi-million-pound decisions, enhance customer experiences, and support Ocado’s mission to transform grocery retail.
Role responsibilities include:
* Leading investigations into ecommerce and marketing trends, presenting findings to partners.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities, including leveraging OSP ecommerce features, improving customer acquisition, increasing AOF and AOV, and reducing churn.
* Working with partners on customer data for marketing and ecommerce reporting, including LTV and cohort analysis.
* Partnering with Solutions and Technology teams to optimize data feeds and ecommerce data layers.
* Creating dashboards and reports to present insights in actionable formats.
* Contributing to team processes, managing projects, and mentoring junior analysts.
What we’re looking for
Essential skills and experience:
* Extensive experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, VBA/AppScript, Data Studio/Tableau/Looker, Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics).
* Proven experience leading marketing/ecommerce projects, with knowledge of customer lifetime metrics, cohort modeling, and performance marketing reporting.
* Ability to measure the impact of marketing campaigns.
* Strong communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues.
* Experience mentoring junior team members and leading projects independently.
Desirable skills:
* Proficiency in Python and Google Colab.
* Experience with process mining tools like Celonis.
* Knowledge of AI-driven analytics and predictive modeling.
* Background in online grocery, retail, or logistics analytics.
* Willingness to travel internationally.
