The Team
The MI Team is primarily based in Manchester. The team are predominantly focused upon Casualty service lines but are continuing to expand the service delivery of MI to service lines and departments in the UK and globally. The Strategic goal of the team is to deliver and enable the analysis of client data to create value, insight, clarity, and operational excellence for our clients
The Role - 12month FTC
You will be a key member of the CD&A team, helping to drive the transformation of data understanding across the team, developing standards of excellence and efficiency.
Data Enablement is embedding robust data management practices across the global Case Management System, ensuring that the CD&A team has the necessary visibility and understanding to satisfy client requirements.
As a Data Enablement Analyst, you will work closely with the Service Development Lead and key stakeholders across business and IT to ensure that tools and guidance can be provided to support data functions, as well as providing guidance to business users. This role is hands-on, delivery-focused, and central to driving adoption of data products, services, and platforms.
Recognising the number of concurrent change programmes being implemented; the individual should excel working in a challenging environment, resilient and skilled at delivering service excellence whilst developing and helping to shape the next level of external and internal analytics reporting in real time
Highly motivated the individual should be confident and proactive, adept at deconstructing data & reporting requirements, understanding the key deliverables of reports and the data structure principles to enable this.
An insurance or legal background is essential for success in this role; candidates without this background will be considered who have demonstrated previous ability to rapidly acquire domain knowledge of new industries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review and document data schemas used in each application, utilising best practice data governance principles and toolsets.
2. Provide the rest of the CD&A team with visibility and training to make use of this documentation to service client requirements
3. Review & understand the GISDS, escalating and managing any change requests to the Insurance Data Management Group
4. Understand the business requirements in respect of client MI and internal information to inform the correct recommendations around the GISDS
5. Review / understand new requirements and map these against the GISDS to enable consistent data capture across clients / types of work
6. Provide SME advice on scoping new / amendments to system fields
7. Act as a Lead / provide SME advice on the data lineage from source through to client reporting.
8. Provide and maintain a solution for providing documentation and guidance to business users to ensure they have what they need to accurately capture data required by the client.

12. Ability to work as a member of the MI team and establish effective working relationships across other departments to maximise personal contribution.
13. Skilled at delivering to challenging timelines whist maintaining attention to detail and analytical governance and integrity.
14. Sound commercial awareness and the ability to provide value add to Client Partners.
15. Ability to be calm and retain a professional attitude under pressure.
16. Willing and able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, particularly at certain times of the month/year.
17. Excellent organisational skills across a varied workload, ability to prioritise tasks to meet agreed deadlines.
