Overview
Marina Raphael is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and brand-driven individual to join our London-based team as Senior Art Director & Content Director. This role will be responsible for leading the brand’s visual identity, seasonal content strategy, and digital marketing presence. The ideal candidate will have prior in-house experience at a luxury fashion or accessories brand, with a strong background in art direction across both on-model and still-life shoots. They will bring expertise in graphic design, proficiency in creative software (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve), and hands-on experience in content creation for both photo and video. Strong budget management and team leadership skills are essential, as this role involves overseeing production resources while ensuring all creative outputs reflect Marina Raphael’s distinctive aesthetic and long-term vision. The Senior Art Director & Content Director will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, PR team, and other internal stakeholders to conceptualize, produce, and deliver creative work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Alignment & Art Direction
o Partner with internal teams to evolve and refine the brand’s visual identity.
o Gain a deep understanding of Marina Raphael’s aesthetic, audience, and positioning, ensuring all creative outputs consistently reflect the brand’s DNA.
o Work directly with the Creative Director to plan seasonal visual strategies, campaigns, and assets.
2. Seasonal Content Planning
o Develop a comprehensive seasonal content roadmap, segmented by collections, campaigns, and brand stories.
o Align with the PR team on the Drop Calendar to ensure content launches support press and marketing objectives.
o Present and refine creative concepts with the Creative Director, ensuring alignment with seasonal narratives and brand direction.
3. Content Production Oversight
o Lead the art direction of all photo and video shoots, from concept through to execution.
o Manage seasonal budgets, allocating resources strategically across campaigns and shoots.
o Review captured assets, oversee image selection, and guide editing teams on retouching, color grading, and final output to maintain brand consistency.
4. Social Media & Digital Marketing Management
o Translate finalized content into platform-specific deliverables for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, newsletters, and the brand website.
o Ensure visual and tonal consistency across all channels in line with brand guidelines.
o Collaborate with the PR team to craft cohesive brand storytelling across digital platforms.
o Support community engagement by ensuring content is optimized for reach, resonance, and interaction.
5. Video, Motion & CGI Development
o Partner with in-house or external creative teams to produce video content, CGI visuals, and motion graphics that expand the brand’s visual storytelling.
o Capture behind-the-scenes, lifestyle, and social-first content using iPhone/camera for real-time posting and platform-specific storytelling.
Qualifications
* Proven in-house experience at a luxury fashion or accessories brand with strong art direction across on-model and still-life shoots.
* Expertise in graphic design and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and/or DaVinci Resolve for video editing.
* Hands-on content creation experience for both photo and video.
* Strong budget management and team leadership skills, with ability to oversee production resources and maintain brand consistency.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
* Ability to balance creative vision with strategic objectives and brand alignment.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
