An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Financial Controller to join a highly respected organisation in Coventry, supporting the financial operations of a leading technical centre within the manufacturing sector. This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced finance professionals and leaders, providing essential support in month-end closure, forecasting, and budget management. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis, collaborating with both local and international teams in a collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Controller
1. Prepare monthly management accounts as part of the UK Finance team, ensuring all data is accurate and submitted within required deadlines.
2. Manage budgets by reporting monthly results, preparing forecasts and budgets, and working closely with the Engineering Director to review financial data.
3. Oversee budgets by controlling expenditures, tracking monthly activity, conducting reviews with Program Managers, and reporting profitability status to management.
4. Produce comprehensive programme status reports that incorporate historical and forecast data to provide clear insights into project profitability.
5. Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
6. Prepare quarterly attest schedules for submission to divisional finance as part of corporate compliance requirements.
