About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to work in the manufacturing and operational team at JCB. This role will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and compliance while ensuring the financial health and strategic growth of the company. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep financial expertise, and the ability to drive process improvements.
What does this role involve day to day?
* Leading the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
* Overseeing the preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports.
* Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
* Monitoring cash flow, working capital, and financial performance to drive profitability.
* Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making and business growth strategies.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements and internal financial controls.
* Developing and implement risk management strategies to safeguard company assets.
* Liaising with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
* Identifying cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiencies.
* Improving financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
* Supporting procurement and supply chain teams in financial negotiations and contract management.
* Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team.
* Collaborating with senior management to align financial strategy with business objectives.
* Providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
This will be suited to you if:
* You possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
* You possess a ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent qualification.
* You have experience in financial management, preferably within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
* You have strong financial acumen, leadership abilities, and strategic thinking.
* You have experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
