Role: Senior Power Electronics Engineer
Location & Working Model: Based in Stevenage, typically 4–5 days per week on-site.
Salary: Circa £52,000 (dependent on experience)

What you’ll be doing:
• Lead and support a team of engineers responsible for the design, prototyping, testing, and integration of power electronics hardware for complex systems.
• Design electronic equipment that ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient integration of products into launch platforms and command systems.
• Oversee development of circuits and sub-systems supporting Launch Management, datalink, and communications systems.
• Contribute to all stages of the engineering lifecycle — from concept feasibility and technology assessments through to certification and production transition.
• Deliver structured plans and technical direction to meet project milestones, while ensuring design quality and adherence to standards.
• Foster collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, driving innovation and supporting continuous technical improvement.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
• Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronic Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in electronic sub-system design, with a strong understanding of EMC and environmental design principles.
• Background in circuit and system design for high-reliability and safety-critical applications.
• Experience working within cross-functional engineering teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project planning skills.
• Experience or interest in leading and mentoring engineers, with the ability to delegate effectively and provide technical guidance.
Desirable:
• Experience in power electronics for high-energy or precision control applications.
• Exposure to design proving, verification, and qualification testing.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle processes and transition to production.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills with a passion for technical excellence.
