Are you passionate about precision, payroll, and supporting a dynamic and vibrant workforce? We're on the lookout for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our clients team, working for a leading SME business on a 6 months fixed term contract.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, supporting their talented team of 800 employees globally. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong attention to detail, and are dedicated to upholding payroll standards, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead end-to-end payroll processes for a global employee base.
2. Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with statutory regulations.
3. Oversee global payrolls with support from Global Payroll Manager.
4. Review and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions.
5. Collaborate with HR and finance teams for seamless payroll integration.
6. Participate in payroll system upgrades and enhancements.
7. Analyse benefits with Employment Tax Manager and HR for tax compliance.
8. Stay updated with UK payroll legislation and communicate relevant changes.
9. Address employee payroll queries and provide accurate information.
10. Manage employee pension schemes, including enrolment and contributions.
11. Support coaching and development of Payroll Executives
12. Act as deputy in absence of Global Payroll Manager.
13. Maintain payroll records and provide reports to stakeholders.
14. Support payroll projects, including business growth initiatives.
15. Develop automated and efficient payroll processes.
16. Provide payroll support to other functions and individuals.
17. Assist with end-of-year P60 and P11D reporting to HMRC.
About you?
18. Experience in end-to-end in-house payroll processing.
19. Advanced user in SAGE 50 and Microsoft excel
20. In-depth knowledge of UK payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
21. Strong understanding of statutory deductions.
22. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
23. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
24. Outstanding communication skills.
25. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
26. Flexibility to work around weekly and monthly payrolls and deadlines.
27. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
28. CIPP qualification or working towards one.

30. Salary £40,000 - £45,000
31. Hybrid: 3 days in the office 2 days working from home
