Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. All applicants must be available to work over the Christmas period.
Duties
* Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained.
* Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment promptly after use.
* Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including sweeping and mopping floors as necessary.
* Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring that items are stored correctly to maintain freshness
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the head chef or kitchen manage
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
* Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness
